Associate Account Executive, NRG Business Sales; East Region

Tara received her BA in Journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her MA in Media Studies from Penn State University. Despite having family legacy in coal mining, she never imagined she would have a job in the energy industry. But a six-week temp assignment turned into a 20+ year career. With Strategic Energy, Direct Energy, and now NRG, Tara has worked in Sales Support, Sales Operations and Client Services, and now as an Account Executive focused on the emerging broker team. She loves the fast pace and constant learning. Tara lives in the Pittsburgh area with her adorable black cats, Sophie and Poppie. She loves attending concerts, pop culture, traveling, snorkeling, reading, going to sporting events and cheering for Penn State, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Her favorite band is Depeche Mode. Besides the news (she is a news junkie), her favorite shows are Jeopardy, The Pitt, General Hospital and Below Deck. Her parents have been her biggest cheerleaders throughout her career.
