Vice President and General Manager, Commercial and Industrial Sales – West Region

Tracy Ross began her 30+ year journey in the energy industry immediately after graduating from Illinois College, starting her career as a natural gas scheduler in the Chicago area. Over the course of her career, she has held several senior leadership roles, including Director of Large Commercial & Industrial Direct Sales for TXU Energy, and Director of Mass Market Sales Channels as well as Large Commercial & Industrial Direct Sales for Champion/Calpine Energy.

In her current role as Vice President and General Manager of Commercial and Industrial Sales for the West Region, Tracy leads NRG’s direct and indirect sales teams across Texas, California, and Canada. She is responsible for driving growth across all major commercial and industrial segments while strengthening broker and customer partnerships throughout the West. Her teams focus on being full energy experts — listening closely to customer needs and delivering cost-effective and innovative solutions. 

Based in Brenham, Texas, Tracy has served as Vice President of Events & Fundraising for the Heritage Society of Washington County, where she supports the preservation of the county’s rich history and promotes its community service program for female high school students. With daughters Callie and Caraline away at college, Tracy and her husband Brian are enjoying life as empty nesters and spending more time planning trips and pursuing their hobbies.
