Bill Barnes – Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Bill is Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for NRG, based in Austin. He is responsible for covering ERCOT market design issues for the retail and wholesale electricity markets, providing market analysis, commercial advice, and regulatory advocacy. Bill represents NRG at the Texas Legislature, Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), and in the ERCOT stakeholder process. As an ERCOT stakeholder, he has served as an elected member of the Technical Advisory Committee, Wholesale Market Subcommittee, Reliability and Operations Subcommittee, and Protocol Revision Subcommittee. Prior to joining NRG, Bill was a VP at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for commodity trading strategies, managing generation assets, and other power structure, research, and advisory roles. Prior to Sachs, he worked at ERCOT, spending seven years handling all commercial aspects of the ERCOT nodal power market. He holds a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Paul DiNubila - Senior Client Strategist, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Paul has been with NRG since 2013. He onboarded as a Product Analyst and worked alongside Sales and Operations to build, maintain, and implement the various retail power offerings across all competitive markets. In 2015, he transitioned into his current role as a Senior Client Strategist under Joe Houck. Since then, he has provided energy management guidance for customers across all industry sectors and regions. He has served as the Client Strategist team’s ERCOT market expert for the last several years. He holds an M.B.A. from Wayne University and a B.S. in Energy Business and Finance from Penn State.

Evan Bronson - Managing Director of the Large C&I Indirect Sales Desk – West Region, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Evan is the Managing Director of the Large C&I Indirect Sales Desk in the West Region for NRG, where he is responsible for building and maintaining broker relationships and helping to devise and implement NRG’s strategy in the broker channel. Evan has spent ten years at NRG within the C&I broker team and currently manages over 40 brokers across the country. Prior to NRG, Evan graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio and was drafted in the MLB by the Washington Nationals. He spent four years in their organization before joining NRG.
