Speakers

Jon deJong - Manager, Load Analytics and Meteorology, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Jon provides day-to-day weather updates for all the major ISOs across North America with an increasing focus on renewables and seasonal forecasting. His 18-year professional forecast experience spans weather and climate impacts to industries including pro sports teams, the Department of Transportation, ERCOT, and railroads in the western U.S. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from St. Cloud State University.

Sam Birgin – Technical Sales East, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Sam has 14 years of experience in the energy industry, with a background in multiple competitive markets. Prior to joining NRG, Sam worked for some of the largest energy consultants and energy suppliers in the U.S. For NRG, he serves on the Technical Sales team as the representative focusing on the PJM and MISO regions. Sam is responsible for strategic power and gas solutions, as well as assisting customers with their demand response and renewable energy needs. He holds a B.S. in Business Marketing from Illinois State University, and an MASc in Environmental Management, focusing on Energy and Sustainability, from the University of Denver.

Sean Langan – Client Strategist, NRG Business Sales Operations; East Region, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Sean Langan hasn’t been with NRG very long, but his four-year career in the energy industry is an expert one. In his previous role as a global category manager with a large C&I company, he designed and implemented strategic approaches to commodity procurement, demand response programs, onsite generation, and efficiency and sustainability initiatives. His current focus with NRG is on customizing energy strategies for his clients and helping them to align departments across their business in support of their energy goals. He is motivated to make an impact in this industry and in customers’ lives.

Victoria Dyckman – Sales Manager, Mid-Atlantic Broker Sales, NRG Business Sales; East Region, NRG Energy, Inc.

 

Victora Dyckman came up through the ranks with NRG, first joining Hess as a Sales Support Intern, then moving through sales and management roles with Direct Energy for the last 16 years. Her current focus is on managing a team of account executives handling broker sales in the Mid-Atlantic region, developing sales strategies, and building strong relationships. She loves meeting new people and establishing a broad professional network, and creating an effective working environment where her team can thrive and succeed. Originally from Ukraine, Victoria moved to New Jersey as a child, where she later received her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Rutgers.
