Bill is Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs for NRG, based in Austin. He is responsible for covering ERCOT market design issues for the retail and wholesale electricity markets, providing market analysis, commercial advice, and regulatory advocacy. Bill represents NRG at the Texas Legislature, Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT), and in the ERCOT stakeholder process. As an ERCOT stakeholder, he has served as an elected member of the Technical Advisory Committee, Wholesale Market Subcommittee, Reliability and Operations Subcommittee, and Protocol Revision Subcommittee. Prior to joining NRG, Bill was a VP at Goldman Sachs, where he was responsible for commodity trading strategies, managing generation assets, and other power structure, research, and advisory roles. Prior to Sachs, he worked at ERCOT, spending seven years handling all commercial aspects of the ERCOT nodal power market. He holds a Master of Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Dayton.
Karl Koch is a Client Strategist with NRG’s Business Sales Operations team, specializing in the ERCOT market. He advises customers on energy strategy and market dynamics, bringing a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to helping organizations navigate an evolving energy landscape.
Karl’s experience spans energy sales, facilities management, and ESG consulting. He has worked with large commercial real estate organizations to enhance asset value through sustainability-driven energy strategies and has additional expertise in real-time controls and ESG data reporting. His multi-disciplinary background enables him to engage in holistic, insight-driven conversations that support informed decision-making.
Karl holds a B.B.A. in Marketing from Baylor University and an M.S. in Sustainability, with a focus on Energy and Facilities, from Lipscomb University.
Cyndy Reynolds currently serves as Director of Commercial Sales for NRG’s western region. In this capacity, she is responsible for sales strategy and execution of the West Mid-Market sales channels. Her team helps commercial consumers achieve economic and environmental goals by selecting the right energy product for them from NRG’s broad suite of offerings.
Cyndy has been with NRG for 13 years. Prior to NRG, she served with TXU, first as an LCI Account Service Manager, then moving into relationship management with broker sales, and as an LCI sales executive focused on real estate and property management. Collectively, she has over 16 years in the energy sector, in both deregulated power markets and renewables. She enjoys the challenge of aligning the ways that NRG sells with customer purchasing behaviors and offering best-in-class, competitive products across all the NRG family of brands.
Cyndy is a Certified Energy professional and has served six years on the board of the Sun Club with Green Mountain Energy. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration, and an M.B.A.
